CIF Construction Safety Week 2019 – 30/10/2019
Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Construction Safety Week 2019 ran from Monday, 21st October up to, and including Friday 25th October.
There were five suggested focus areas, one for each day:
1. Mental Health and Wellbeing in Construction.
2. Working Safely with Electricity.
3. Working Safely at Height.
4. Vehicle Risk & Safety in Lifting Operations.
5. Working Safely with Hazardous Substances.
We were able to reflect on aspects of safety, health and overall wellbeing as well as promoting it's importance throughout our workforce. For each of the 5 days we held seminars, training sessions and practical demonstrations to over 200 operatives across 3 sites, as well as our workshop and Head Office. There was very positive feedback from those taking part as it gave them the opportunity to find out more in relation to these topics, and get involved in discussions relating to them.
