Queens Great Hall, Belfast
In January 2002 Felix O' Hare & Co Ltd were entrusted with the refurbishment of the Great Hall at Queens University, Belfast. This flagship project involved the complete refurbishment of the existing Grade 1 listed hall including D.D.A alterations.
The works included:
- Specialist protection of several large paintings which remained in place during the works
- Repairs and replacement of existing pine roof trusses with hand carved feature details undertaken by our in house Joinery Workshop
- Window and glazing repairs to leaded lights
- Repairs to decorative plaster mouldings
- Provision of a mezzanine level with the existing hall
- Decorative oak wall panelling
- D.D.A upgrading works including ramps and door control systems
- Complete M&E services installation including new lights p.a power and I.T systems
